Wake Up!

"Wake up!" Said a sharp voice. I jumped up out the bed. 'What had I been dreaming?' I thought to myself.

Before me stood a woman with a coat tight around her. Her pale blue eyes looking at me. Did I know her?

"Are you awake Emily? For real this time?" The woman moved closer to me and waved a hand in front of my face.

"Yes I'm awake." I said. Why had that hurt?

"Oh good. Can you tell me what my name is?" I was about to say no but then Jane came to my mind. "Jane..." I said weakly. My voice just sounded so off.

"Good, they hadn't taken your mind." She said as she walked over to a coat rack. Taking off a coat that seemed to be just right for me.

"Now." She continued. "We need to get out of here before they come back." "They?" I asked. "What is going on here? Jane I was just sleeping." She shook her head. "No what you see is a left over from their effects. your in a lab being experimented on. We need to get you out of here."

The bedroom that I had been looking at changed before my eyes. It became brighter and I could hear beeps of machines.

I turned to look back at my bed to see a hospital bed. How was this possible?

I took the coat from Jane and put it on me. "How is this-"

"We don't have time." Jane cut me off. "Emily we need to go now!" She moved to the door and opened it. She stuck her head out and looked each way. "It clear, we got to go."

She stepped out of the room. I quickly followed her. The second my head hit the door everything went black.

Jane caught Emily as she fell forward, being knocked out by the implant.

"It worked doctor." Emil said without looking up. Her voice now colder then it had been before. "She is taking less to time into following and remembering my new name. Should we reset?"

A voice came threw a speaker in the room. It was a ruff male voice. "Yes, please do. Let's see how many times we can reset her mind."

Jane nodded and dragged Emily back into the bed, putting everything back before sticking a needed into Emily's arm.
